Overweight baby?

Hi mumsies. I just got back from the paed and was told that my 2 month old Bubba is close to doubling her birth weight (which is 6.8kg)! Should I be concerned that she may be overweight? I have been breastfeeding her since her birth... would appreciate your feedback. =)

You literally cannot overfeed a breastfed baby. Enjoy your chunky monkey!

Babies can't be overweight. Especially bf babies! Maybe your milk is just really fatty (which is actually better for babies brain development). 😀👍

This is my chunkers at 2 months. He was born 9lbs 5oz. He's still gaining weight like crazy, ebf, and wears size 2 diapers/6 month clothing. He's HEALTHY. I love chunky babies lol

You can't over feed any baby. It's like saying you've given a kid too much celery and that why he's obese. Milk is healthy food. Worry about sugar content as they get older but you can't over due milk. Different babe's are going to metabolize it differently and have different  weights chubby babies are my personal favorite though

I once read you can't over feed a breast fed baby...I wouldn't worry

My babe was 8.12 at birth, 15 lbs at 2 months and 17lbs at 3 months. Ebf. Healthy as can be!

My chunk was born at 8lbs 4ozs and now is 8 weeks and over 13lbs :) I too was worried about the weight but reading all of this makes me feel better!

You're baby is fine. Breastfed babies seem to always be chunky, enjoy the little chunk, once they start walking it will leave eventually. Breastmilk is tailored to your babies needs so they can't be over fed from the boob. It makes just the right amount of fat that your baby needs as they grow

Are you saying she was 6.8kg at birth or is now? My LO will probably be around that for her 2 month weigh-in (she's only 7 weeks now). Was your doctor concerned? It's highly unlikely for a EBF baby to be too heavy.
