Convincing parents to allow the pill?

How did you convince your parents to let you get on birth control?

I told my mom I wanted to be on the pill because I was having sex.(she almost crashed the car and had a heart attack) I told her it was going to happen whether she liked it or not and I wanted to be responsible about it

You can receive birth control from Planned Parenthood, just call and set up an appointment and they'll more than likely be able to help you and your parents don't have any say in it 🙂

Say it'll regulate your period and help with cramps. I said that and got the implant but honestly I wouldn't suggest the implant because I've had a lot of period troubles

I have very strong periods and always have asked my mother to be on that pill when I was youngerish. But it's restricted for my womanly family members to be on it because of our way of being culturally. 
I'm 20 and feel I don't need it because I've heard iffy things about the pill both for sexual reasons and period reasons. 
This is just from someone that was told no then changed her mind. 
We were in the same boat.

My mom just decided to let me on the pill.
I have been asking my doctor since I was 12, they told me to come back when I was 14, I'm now 17.
Ive been complaining about my period extra lately, but for some reason she's letting me, now that I have a serious boyfriend, even though she never wanted to let me on BC before, because she was afraid I'd start having sex.
Well look at me now, going in for an appointment, fully prepared to tell the doctor that I'm "sexually active"

Talk to your doctor by yourself. Open up to your doctor. Your doctor will probably be all in for you going on the pill. Then tell your parents that your doctor recommended it because of your period issues.
