BIRTH CONTROL

So, I'm 16 and I want to get on birth control (THE PILL) really bad because I am sexually active and get VERY paranoid 😅

When my sister was my age & asked my mom for birth control, she said no & made her wait until she was 18. But she told me that I'm old enough to go get it myself if I want it.

My question is how? I know that I can go to Planned Parenthood and they'll give it to me. But do I need an adult with me ? And when I go in what am I supposed to say? Do I need to bring anything with me ?

Also, will the pill make me put on weight ? I know that the shots do but I'm not sure about the pill. I know people react different but I'm just curious.
