I want to get back together w him? I still love him help how do i get him back?

Okay so, im a year younger than him going into senior year of high school and he just graduated. We broke up a month ago and since then have talked very minimally, but i cant get him out of my mind and i still love him. We had an amazing relationship: a great connection and sex life. We didnt have big fights ever and got along perfectly. The reason we broke up is college. He is only going a couple hours away but from the beginning i didnt want a long distance relationship. Plus i wanted him to be able to have "freedom" in college or whatever. So originally he was begging me to stay together when i wanted to end things so we did, then he broke up w me bc he finally realized what i was telling him and he didnt want our relationship to be strained through distance (even tho he would visit often). Now im just mad bc i love him and i want to fight for him and tell him why we should be together (bc i could honestly see a future w him and he talked about marriage in the future before the split). Im also very likely going to his same college in state so LDR would only be for 1 yr. I dont know how to get him back though and i dont want to push him farther away. Is it hopeless? I honestly have never had a connection like this before and he is the love of my life. I could wait for him but i dont want to dream of something that will never happen. How do i get him back, and if that cant happen, how can i move on?
