SHOES OFF WHILE DRIVING

Is it illegal to drive with shoes on in Australia? I feel much more comfortable being able to feel the peddle with bare feet rather than with shoes on. I can't feel the peddle enough ....

Please comment if it is or isn't wherever you are in the world. Australia would be helpful but it would be nice to know if it's illegal in other places!!
