Can i get out of this?? Has anyone gotten out of this?
Out of all the things to get me away from my 1st born in the 1st week.
I didnt think it would be Jury Duty.

I'm not sure which state you are in, but in NC you can take your jury summons to the clerks office to try and be excused by a district court judge. Just give the explanation as to why and I'm sure they will excuse you for that

I got a summons last week for a week before my due date, but I just postponed it online for medical reasons (to February).

I got jury duty when my daughter was a month old. I took her with me to the first morning and got excused immediately. They will not force you to find a sitter or put the baby in daycare. I'm pretty sure there is a number or mailing address that you can get excused early without having to go at all.

You should be able to write an excuse. Not only do you not want to leave the baby but you'll still be recovering medically too.

I got assigned to jury duty in May as well and was due in August. It was for a 3 month trial and I just wrote in I was expecting and they postponed it for me until January.

I just received one as well for last Wednesday when I was 36 weeks. I got a  excusal letter from my midwife and walked in to give it to them but they didn't even want it. Just took one look at my belly and said, "yep, you're excused" and sent me on my way lol.
