Progesterone to jump start

So I need some general advice for those who are TTC. I was taken off my BC in April. Haven't had a period since then but have still been TTC . I was put on a ten day regiment of progesterone in hopes of jump starting my system. I finished 4 days ago and have been tired and crampy but no period. Has progesterone helped anyone else? I'm not sure what to expect. I was on BC for 12 years and expected to take a little but I am nervous my system is all wacked out now.
