My puppy is 5 months old and completely fixated and food obsessed. When she sees or smells food, nothing else matters. Her eyes enlarged, she shakes, jumps, claws are out like razors and her body stiffens and she goes into this crazy zone, even if we have a glass full of juice she does this. If i touch her while she's eating she will broaden her shoulders, cover her food and growl while aggressively inhaling her food. She is only a yorkie, she's tiny and I don't know how she can fit all that in her tiny mouth to be honest. Its crazy.

I am very strict and observant and nothing gets past me, I am training her well, but i just feel like im at a loss with this bit. I have given her her meals twice a day at the same time everyday, she gets treats while training and chewy bones while were out, she sometimes would get the odd treat from scraps but I am very strict with that.

I have never encountered a dog with this trait, I have tried lifting the food from the bag with my hands to get my scent on it, I have held her bowl while shes eating, I have tried sitting beside her but not staring, walking past her dish and throwing treats in. Im trying to baby proof her as i found out im expecting. I cant always be watching my child so i need to be able to trust that my dog wont attack if my baby goes near her bowl. Any advice is appreciated 😊
