C section

As a FTM, I'm just hoping to hear people's experience with a C section. Mine is scheduled for Tuesday next week at 40 weeks. And I'm just curious how people healed. Best advice for the stomach and scar afterwards? I have about 12 stairs to the bedroom. Doable or will I be sleeping on the couch?
