Crib bumpers?

I'm just curious to see what everyone is planning to do once baby comes home ☺. I plan on using the breathable mesh at first and then once baby has good head control and can easily roll we'll switch him to the padded bumper to prevent him hitting his head on the rails ❤

I'm sure most if not all of you have heard it already, but just in case: "The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American SIDS Institute have both issued warnings about crib bumpers; they advise parents not to use them."

I have a mesh one, but baby will not be in his crib for a while. The mesh one matches his crib sheet, I didn't want a full bumper.

I want to do the padded because I plan on keeping baby in his crib as soon as he gets home so I feel like the padded ones will keep it warmer for him
