What makes breastfeeding hard ?

I would love to hear your answers ladies !! I haven't found breastfeeding hard at all but I would like to know what makes it hard for some moms ?

All of the above. Honestly I wish women would be more open about the challenges of breastfeeding. I wasn't able to breastfeed my twins, I pumped for months instead. This time I was determined to do it. We're 3.5 months in now and it's still rough. I went. From no supply to oversupply and overactive letdown so he clamps down to help slow the flow. I have vasospasm so the only time my nippers don't hurt is when he's nursing...as soon as the air touches them or I get cold they turn stark white and hard like a massive cramp. Every time he hits a growth spurt my supply goes haywire again and I have to deal with days of painful engorged breasts. We're making it....it IS getting easier. But it's definitely not easy and I still have days where I just want to give up because I'm so tired of these enormous painful boobs.

I wouldn't say any of those options. The lack of sleep, the commitment, it's easy to give up, but it's so worth it at the end of the day. I truly love breastfeeding!

Its not the actual brestfeeding that's hard, it's the pumping I hate! And it was painful for a long time. The having to work my trips around her nursing. It's everything that goes with breastfeeding lol.  The nursing itself is awesome. .I love our bond. :-)

The hardest part to me is trying to plan outings around feedings. I'm constantly watching the clock and looking for a place to nurse that won't end up with me being another breastfeeding youtube video 😂😂 because if anyone gives me crap for feeding my baby I'll lose it

My problem was actually oversupply which sounds like a good thing but caused my baby to be really colicky as he was swallowing so much air and getting too much lactose bc of fore milk hind milk imbalance. I had to figure this out on my own and then work with an lc to help reduce my supply so he could manage it. Not to mention I was engorged and leaking a ton.

When we first started, it was latching that made it hard. After she got that down it was the fact that she wanted to nurse very frequently (like every 45 minutes during the day). Now that I'm back to work it's that taking time out to pump sucks. It's not too bad when I'm working from my office but I frequently have to work from my clients' offices.
