Plugged duct?

Question

I think I might feel a hard lump in my left breast and it's kind of sore. I'm seeing my doctor in 2 days, but meanwhile, what can I do to make it go away if its a plugged duct? My baby had a poor latch on that breast at first due to a flat nipple. I'm scared. Please help.

I had one too!  I used warm a compress before nursing, massaged it, and then had baby nurse. It hurt really had to have her nurse, but it worked! Took about a day. Good luck!

I had a plugged duct which rapidly became a horrible case of mastitis. Best advice I was given is to make a rice sock. Warm it up in the microwave and forcibly rub that duct until it's releases. Keep working at it and if you experience any fevers see your doc right away!!

This happened to me, it's easy to get rid of. Take a hot shower, press on the lump, firmly but gently, while expressing milk out of your breast. Do this for a while, 5-10 minutes, or until the lump is gone.

Massage it uae a heat pack pumping do ur best to unclog it breastfeeding can help as well mastitis hurts try. Ur beat to get the duck unclogged

I had a reduction so my ducts would get slightly plugged all the time. My husband would massage them for me cause it hurt too bad for me to do it. Warm showers helped

I had one - keep nursing and take hot showers while firmly massaging that lump. I felt the lump go away but still had some soreness in the area for about a half a day after.

Take lecithin! This happened to me a few days ago and lecithin plus heat and massage kept it from getting worse. I feel fine now.

I use a heating pad and massage the hard spot. It kind of hurts to massage it but it helps
