D&C vs Natural miscarriage

I just found out yesterday that our sweet baby stopped growing and no longer has a heartbeat. This my 2nd pregnancy and first miscarriage. I'm scared and devastated. If anyone has any advice and experience, I need it. I feel like I couldn't handle seeing everything that comes with miscarrying naturally, but I don't want a D&C to ruin my chances of having a healthy baby. I need reassurance if any could be provided.
