Help! Which formula is lightest on tummy / best?

Question

Any thoughts on the differences between the formulas? I know they all have strict regulations but wondering if there are nutritional differences?

Also what formula seems to be scientifically lighter on the tummies?

I am supplementing currently with Similac total comfort. Previously used Nan 1 as well. No real issues although only started on similac TC on Friday and since then my boy is showing signs of colic / silent reflux (going to docs on Friday). However he's 4 weeks so the age where only this would start showing so not sure if it's anything to do with formula?

Gerber is 100% whey so they truly digest it more like breastmilk ... best for my babies tummy with minimal discomfort and gas .. they dont have as many coupons but has definitely been best for my LO

Enfamil is 80% casien 20% whey
Similac is 60% casien 40% whey

So if your lo is doing well on a similac formula is could be because they handle whey better. So definitely try Gerber Good Starts Gentle :)

Most formula is part Casien protein and part whey protein based. Typically more casien than whey. In baby spit up you will often see curds and a white liquid. The curds = partially digested casien. The liquid = partially digested whey. The whey takes far less stomach acid to digest. Thus when baby spits up, its not as acidic and doesn't hurt. My little girl cant fully digest proteins. We have her on Gerber Good Start Gentle
Its 100% whey protein based and its partially broken down with prebiotics. She gets constipated easy and she poops regularly on this :).

We chose HIPP Combiotik (german). It's worked well for his tummy because it has added probiotics and no weird fillers like American formula. Also totally organic and GMO free. We order it online in bulk now that we know it works for him.
