Baby to sleep

How do you put your baby to sleep/nap? I am struggling! At night I have a routine for him: bath, walk, read, feed him, he only falls asleep at the breast and then I put him down. During the day he likes to fight sleep and only wants the breast to sleep, if I lay him down he wakes up. I swaddle, I play white noise, I bounce and I rock but he just goes for the boob and cries if he doesn't get it. Once he is on there his eyes roll back and he falls into a light sleep. Any advice? I am going nuts. He's 9 wks, I feel like he should be better at falling asleep
