My baby is two months old now, but started really fighting the bottle about a month ago and arching her back and screaming when she ate. Went to the dr and she was prescribed Zantac, 2ml a day as well as thickening her formula with rice cereal. That seemed to work really well for about two weeks, but now she seems to be even worse than before. I used to be able to get her to finish a bottle, but now she will only eat an ounce before she starts screaming and refuses to eat more.  If I DO try to give her more she hold it in her mouth and won't swallow or spits it out. Yesterday I had to feed her an ounce every hour, that's the only way she would eat. I guess my question is, has anybody been prescribed Zantac and it worked at first but then stopped?
