Sounds like it could be ovulation. Are you on birth control?

Not unless some damage occured as far as I know. Your partner may have been too rough or maybe someone's finger nails were too sharp.

If you're like me and have irregular periods, I've also had another period start during sex. Mine also tend to start right after sex in general though. I've also gathered some women bleed while ovulating, but I've never experienced that  personally.
