Trying not to fall back with my ex 😁

Well my ex and I haven't been together for 5 months already. He cheating on me with this girl I knew and work with, so after all those months not talking to him he try to text me and everything and me on the other side try to ignore him or text him the way he suppose to be treated. So recently I been seeing him again I know I'm doing bad I'm not suppose to do it but I'm trying not to fall for him again because I know the consequences. So can I still hangout with him without not falling for him?
