Ok so in February I applied for disability. I also applied for cash assistance thru public assistance. Well I received cash assistance starting in March I believe. Well yesterday I received a call saying I had been approved for disability and will get a check for 6 months back pay. But bc I received cash assistance I signed something saying I would pay them back. So they have to talk to the department of social services to see if and how much they want me to pay back. And then I will get what's left over from my back pay.

What I'm wondering is how do u think they will determine what amount is to be paid back?

Do you think it will be the monthly amount they gave me for the months I received it?

Or some of the amount?

I'm not quite sure how they figure this out? Does anyone have any idea?
