Pads or tampons?

So i started my period 3 years ago, which was when i was ten, and I've been using pads within the 3 years. I just want advice of which is better tampons or pads? I didnt want to use tampons because i was always scared to use them lmao. But I'm considering using them. I just need advice of which is better and advice about tampons ig.
