3 months ago I had a total thyroidectomy to remove what at the time was believed to be thyroid cancer. I had a positive biopsy on a golf ball sized (seriously, it was huge) tumor on my thyroid. 3 weeks after surgery I was told the biopsy was wrong and it was benign! Yay!!! But now I'm being told it could be months upon months before my hormones return to normal and I can conceive. We have a two year old son who was conceived naturally after 7 years of no birth control and sparatic months of "trying". We are desperate to grow our family and I'm feeling pretty low after three months of 1 day of ovulation a month. My OB says I'm probably producing sub-par eggs but won't give me clomid for at least another 3 months :( anyone TTC post thyroidectomy have any advice for me?? Needing a little support :(
