Clomid too soon?

Hubby and I have been ttc x9 months. I am 34 and he is 38. Both of our fertility work ups have come back normal. I always have a temperature shift and know that I have been ovulating . We are starting cycle 10 this month and are considering Clomid. I also recently just started acupuncture and have been to two sessions. I am just curious about peoples opinions and experiences with taking this? Our doctor says it's really up to us when we want to start treatments
