Pumping at work

Lindsay
So I sadly have to return to work in three weeks after a wonderful 14 week maternity leave.
My question to you mommas is what spare parts do you recommend I have in my pump bag? I have a medela freestyle. I have access to a fridge so I plan on just putting my pump parts in the fridge in between pumps to avoid the need for cleaning.
Any other pumping at work advice??

Get lots of extra storage containers to pump into, you'll go through a lot & then with cleaning & drying...you need a ton 😂. Make sure you have bags to freeze milk if you overproduce. I keep a thing of baby wipes at my desk to clean up any spilled drops. Make sure you have an ice pack to keep milk cold in transport home.

Get spare parts, like the diaphragm and suck bills. One part went weak and I couldn't get enough milk out of that side.
Bring a blanket and a towel so you will be comfortable and clean! I bring my phone or iPad to watch soccer or read. If you gotta pump, you might as well enjoy your time!
I'm sorry you have to go back. We all know your pain. It will get less difficult and don't worry. When you see your baby after your first day of work, kiddo will squeal with delight when they see you. 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️
