I ovulated the 9th and I would like a boy

Yeah you can't determine what sex the baby will be by what day you ovulated. Our eggs aren't male or female.. The males sperm determines if your baby is a boy or girl. So your ovulation date will have nothing to do with it.

I think you're thinking of the shettles method? If so then it depends on when you bd'd. Y (male) sperm swim faster but die sooner. X (female) sperm are slower but more durable. The theory is if you bd'd closer to ovulation you'll have a boy because the male sperm reach the egg sooner than the females but if you bd'd before or after ovulation you're chances of having a girl are greater because though the male sperm are faster they die before reaching the egg and then there's more slow & steady female sperm ready to win the race lol
That's why I believe so many women who track their cycles have boys because they bd on ovulation day. And it seems to me that the ones that aren't TTC have girls. Hope this helps!
