Ovulation test: Faint second line on test but no smiley face on digital... I'm confused?!

The lines on a digital test shouldn't be used to determine high or low fertility. I am currently using the clearblue digital OPK and have had flashing smileys for 8 days but the lines have looked differently each day. Sometimes darker or lighter, but the non-digital opk test strips I'm also using are getting darker each day.

I need help I’m not sure what is going on but my test applicator just has the booklet and won’t do anything . And I’m not sure what the 2 lines are supposed to help with

Opk will always have two lines. In a digital like this, you cannot base your Lh surge on the stick, you have to base it on the digital readout 
In regular opks the test line will get darker the closer you get to ovulation, and it has to be as dark, if not darker than the control line to be considered positive. 
Digitals are so much easier though lol

Test line has to be as dark or darker then the control line for it to be a positive. that explains the no smiley face
