What would you do if you got a divorce and had a "tattoo wedding ring"?

I know many people have their wedding rings tattooed on. I also know that many people get divorced. I'm just wondering what would you do if you had a tattooed wedding ring/symbol( and everyone KNEW it was your wedding ring) but then you got divorced? I know many people don't keep their rings from a divorce so what would happen if it was tattooed on?
