My fiancé just got appendicitis and had to have surgery on Sunday. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday, and is on bed rest and out from work for two weeks. Today is his first day at home and I took off work as well because he can't even get out of bed by himself. Hopefully I can go back to work tomorrow because I don't have that much PTO, and we were already trying to save all of our PTO because we are getting married in 3 weeks and our baby is due in October!! He is going to apply for disabilty for his time off for the surgery, but my question is, can I get disabilty for having to stay home to take care of him? This may be a silly question but I've never dealt with disabilty before and don't know how it works or what the requirements are. Thank you!!!
