Membrane stripping?

I'm at 38+3 today. My OBGYN tells me that I am 2-3cm dilated and did a membrane strip on me. According to her, there is a high likelihood of me delivering this week. Could someone tell me what the general progression is when a membrane stripping is successful?

My boy came 5 days after the sweep. He will be 6 yrs old tmrw. Moreover I will not do this w/ #3 nor did I w/ the #1. I was climbing 42 weeks when I induced...which is what you are doing when in  agreement to the sweep. GL

I had mine done on Sunday mid morning and nothing..Still spotting a little and now nothing but that..Everyone is different..But for me it didn't work!!

Everyone is different. You could progress quickly or slowly it just depends on if your baby is ready or not

No personal experience but a girlfriend was 38-39ish weeks, 90% effaced but only 1-2cm. OB did the membranes and she went into labor the next day.

I had mine done yesterday and lost my mucous plug/ had bloody show this morning. Still nothing more than Braxton hicks contractions. 😒
