One uterine fibroid and ttc

I have a uterine fibroid on my left ovary since last summer. Its 4cm. I'm 34 years old and i have been trying to conceive my 2nd child for 8 months now. Could this be the reason I'm not getting pregnant? Should I get surgery? I would love to know what you guys think.
