When do you get your ultrasound? More than one?

With my first daughter i only had one at 20 weeks, they wouldnt do more. At that time i was on medicaid and was being seen at the health department. Just wondering, i have really good self paid insurance now and have a much bettet doctor. Is it dependent on that? I keep seeing very early ultrasounds and i want one....
