First blood tests....

So my doctor ordered some blood tests for infertility yesterday which I had done today, day 6 of my cycle according to Glow. When I Googled it, most of the articles talked about how the first set of tests are supposed to be done on day 3 of your cycle. Does it really matter when you get them done? On a side note, my last period was super light and only lasted a couple days.
