I'm a FTM, considering getting cloth diapers for my baby. Don't mind doing laundry and like the fact that they are not only stylish, but environmentally-friendly. I don't know which brand to use and think I will buy a few of each to try.

Are the inserts universal? I'd prefer to not have to match the insert with the right diaper because I have a feeling I'll get it all mixed up in the chaos of things.

Also, which brand/s do you prefer and why? Alva baby, Bumgenious, Thirsties or Fuzzibunz?
