Question

I don't know if I'm over exaggerating but we went to in and out and I ordered animal fries and he ordered a burger with a chocolate shake. I'm the one driving and he's over there slurping his shake away until I heard it's almost empty pretty much he rolls down his window and throws it out. I go thanks for offering and he says what I was craving one. Whenever I buy something to eat/drink i ALWAYS offer him and so maybe that's why I felt that way because I expected it. It pissed me off. Then when we arrive home I'm getting my stuff together and I'm thinking he's outside waiting as a gentlemen should be to make sure his girl is safe but nope he's already walking into the house. We've been dating for three years. Am I being dramatic?

I think you're being dramatic. If you want a drink of his shake, ask! If you want him to walk you in, ask!

(A guy littering his trash out the window, on the other hand, would be a dealbreaker for me!)

I think one of the biggest problems in life is we expect people to do things because it's what we would do, but that's not the way the world works, unfortunately, the only way to fix things is to clue him in on how you would like him to treat you, and that some things he does bothers you.

I understand how you feel, but you have to consider the difference in how we think versus how they do. He might not be intentionally doing it and he might be oblivious of the way it makes you feel. I don't think you're overreacting. I just think you should have an open discussion with him about your feelings and working towards middle ground.

It's personal preference. Some people don't like sharing food. If you wanted a drink how hard is it to order yourself? Or better yet ask if you could have some? He's not a mind reader... How's he suppose to know you want any if you don't ask??

I agree with others. You are over reacting. If you want something to drink get something to drink. Never expect him to share. Expectations ruin relationships. If it really bugs you then talk to him.
