Thumb sucking?

Question

I think it's safe to say we have a little thumb-sucker.  While I appreciate that she is self-soothing, should I be worried that this could develop into a bad habit and/or affect her teeth (she sprouted the bottom two already)?

My lil guy is a thumb sucker. I try to encourage the pacifier but he really loves his thumb... I was a thumb sucker too, my teeth weren't too bad

Mines a thumb sucker too, my doctor said not to worry too much about it. She said that most kids out grow it and from the looks of it she sucks her whole thumb. The problem with their teeth happens when they only suck the tip of their thumb. It pushes their teeth out, but she's sucking it deep into her mouth like a pacy or a boob. I think she's safe with that. Plus, it's not entirely impossible to get them to stop when they're a little older.

Mine is a thumb sucker too. No teeth yet. I'm going into the pediatrician next week so I'm ganna ask her the same question. But for now it's great bc it self soothes wonderfully
