FTM/ Overreacting ??

My baby girl will be 3 months on the 7th, and shes been super fussy lately and used to throw up huge amounts when she was first born.  We changed her formula about 2 months ago to, Enfamil Gentlease (Recommended by her doctor) because she had horrible gas pains and for the throwing up problem. The formula seems to be making it worse, she seems like she is always miserable, and still has horrible gas. Her doctor said its normal but i feel like its something more. We have tired gas drops, and they seem to help a little. I was wondering if any other mothers out there have experienced this with their LO. Any remedies work to help with the gas pains!? I feel horrible, because she will scream her head off in pain, and let out some huge farts that seem to hurt her. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

One of my baby's couldn't stomach the formula so I switched him to soy and it made a big difference.

I would not use that brand another minute after all the terrible things I've heard !!!!! And gripe water is great ! But really do some research on that Enfamil formula !!

Gas drops. I actually like Babiesrus brand the best. Worked super fast.

We tried gas drops for my new 3 month old and they didn't help much. Mommy's bliss gripe water, on the other hand, works wonders for him! Try gripe water instead of gas drops.

Maybe she is lactose intolerant. Ask your doctor about lactose free alternatives and see if I helps.

Have you considered a dairy or soy allergy? My baby has it and would scream and scream. We switched to an elemental formula,  within 2 weeks she was normal.

Gripe water did wonders for my daughter when she was first born. Your baby sounds a bit colicky, or maybe just can't stomach the formula. I'd switch formulas and try the gripe water in addition. It's great stuff!! Most health food stores or even baby stores have it. Not pricey and totally worth it. Good luck mama.

Stop using that brand! I read this woman's post about the Enfamil on facebook and her baby ended up passing away (not to scare you) but the Enfamil had some toxins that were going into the blood stream, something like that. I'm a FTM too so I got scared and read the comments (it became a famous post) and a lot of mommas were having the same problem, the Enfamil was leaving their babies sick.

My daughter had an awful experience on that formula. She was SO fussy and so gassy all the time. We think she also has some food sensitivities so we switched to Similac Alimentum. It's pricey, but a) covered by our insurance and b) she's back to being her happy self!

I had the same issued with my daugther, we changed formula so many times and the one that worked for her was  the spit up from similac , additional to that the doctor sent her ranitidine for the reflux. After a few days she was a different baby, no more screaming in pain. Good luck
