I just started the deop shot 4 weeks ago, I'm kinda having regular sex with my boyfriend. But today I noticed my underwear had on it, is that normal??

Dnt judge birthcontrol (depo) till uve had ur 2nd shot gotta give it some time for ur body to work out the kinks but it is normal wen starting any birth control

Yo get of the depo shot. That shit doesn't work I got pregnant on it and had a miserable miscarriage I almost died from. Also had tons of other issues until that garbage wore out of my system. Fuck the depo shot. If you want good birth control where you don't have to remember a pill everyday get the IUD.

Depo causes really irregular bleeding. I do not get a period at all unless I am late on updating my shot, then I have a regular period followed by a few extra days of really heavy, clotty blood flow. Since you just started, this bleeding is just due to your body adjusting to hormone levels. If you are in any pain or if the blood has tissue in it (much thicker than clots&mucus you will be able to tell the difference) call your doctor. If the irregularity continues and becomes a nuisance for you by the time you hit your 3 month mark let your doctor know and you can explore other options.

I personally have been on the depo shot (off and on) for about 6 years. It scares a lot of people but for many people (like myself) it really works well. I am currently looking into the arm implant that lasts for 3 years as it is the same deal as the Depo Shot and I know the Depo shot works comfortably with me. Because I am only 19 I am comfortable with the time frame of 3 years and the Depo Shot is not recommended for long term use because of its side effects (LIKE ANY BC HAS- DONT LET PEOPLE SCARE YOU AWAY FROM WHAT WORKS FOR YOU) so that is why I'm exploring the option of an implant.
