How/when does your newborn get circumcised?

Question

I know this post will get probably alot of negitive feed back but my husband and I have decided that we want our son to be circumcised.  Please no bashing.  This is my second child but my first son.  After we had our daughter we had her in the room with us the whole time.  But having a boy I'm not sure about the stay in the hospital after.  When does the surgery take place? Is it while I'm still admitted to the hospital? We are on Colorado if that helps.  Any information is so appreciated.  Just want to know what to expect!

My son had it done while in the hospital. Also there's nothingwrong with circumcision! There are lots of medical benefits, and if your husband is circumcised it'll aid his confidence to not be different from daddy.

My first son had his done in the hospital and my second son had his done at like 2 weeks in the pediatricians office. It only takes a week to heal but seeing the differences between my boys I'd definitely get it done as soon as possible.

How terrible is it that we even have to say "no bashing" for these types of decisions we make on here. I am glad you asked as I'm also expecting a boy and would love to hear about what other moms experienced. 😊

My son was born at 6:48 am and they did his early the next morning. I believe they did the bell method.

My son had his done first thing in the morning the day after he was born. They snipped his. His really didn't bleed much at all. He was perfectly fine!

No bashing!! My son will be circumcised too! I wouldn't have it any other way. Period.

My boys were both circumcised before we went home from the hospital. Some hospitals don't do it. I know people who have taken there sons within the week of being Born to where ever their doctors do it

My first was 2weeks old and my twins were 3 weeks. They cried when they got the numbing shot and then they healed within a few days😊😊😊

My first son (11years ago) had to come back a couple of days later and get it done. My second son (7 years ago) had it done before we left the hospital. Guess it depends on the doctor and hospital.
