What birth control do you use?

Anybody wanna give me some advice? I want to get on birth control & I'm just wondering what you ladies use? Which ones are most effective for you & your body!?

I use the Nuvaring. I'm horrible at remembering to take pills so I knew that wasn't the option for me. The ring is simple. You put it in yourself on the second to last or the last day of your period and you take it out 3 weeks later from the day you put it in. I typically will then get my period 3-4 days after taking the ring out. Side note: when/if you're having sex, he doesn't even feel it and it won't move at all either. Hope this helps!

Im on the pill just because I literally hate shots and can't do them. And it's the least painful and the easiest to me

I use the shot. I like it because I really don't have to worry about it. I do get irregular periods but I've only been on it for about 5 months, so my body is still getting used to it. I think it's a good option. I have used the pill before, I started to get tired of taking a pill everyday, but it does regulate your period and you will know when you will get it. So if you don't mind taking a pill everyday it might be good for you. But ask your doctor either way.

I've been on the pill since age 16 because I had such horrible periods. I'm 24 now. I took Kariva for the first 6 years or so. It made my periods much more tolerable but killed my libido. I've taken a couple other kinds too, some made me too emotional and some gave me headaches. I take Cryselle now and although I have slightly more cramping than with Kariva, I don't have any other side effects.

There are so many types of birth control pills so if you chose that type, make sure to talk to your doctor about any side effects you have because it's easy to change to a different one.

I hated the shot, but everyone I know has the implant, and they love it.
