Am I being unrealistic?

Question

So, my current boyfriend and I have been together for over a year now and we've liked each other for a total of 3 years. We are both going to be freshmen this upcoming schoo year. He treats me wonderfully, he is my best friend as well as my boyfriend, and we both have a great relationship with each other's families. 
My stepmother brought up that things will be complicated when we both go to college, which I'm fully aware of. He and I have discussed it and thought of ways to make it work. 
Is it unrealistic for me to think that it could last that long? I really love and adore him and throughout the years of us being together (as friends and a couple) we haven't had any big arguments. I'm 15 and he's 14 turning 15 soon. I'd just like to hear some thoughts from other people. Thank you!

Enjoy the time you have now. Parents say those things to help guide you. College is a ways off, just take things slow with him, continue to get to know each other (even though you already do) and just have fun. Don't stress too much, you're just freshmen. Let the relationship take its course without looking too much ahead.

Reading this, when you said freshman I thought you meant freshman in college lol. Honestly nothing is really gonna change entering high school other than the work load. I wouldn't breakup with him if y'all are both going into 9th grade but you still like each other, that just sounds silly to me.

enjoy what you have now, because honestly things can change. people change, feelings change. you're still very young and have a lot of things ahead of you. you'll meet different people and wanna do different things. I honestly don't know why people get into relationships that young, at that age all I wanted to do was hang out with my friends and then I hit 18 and partied my ass off lol. have fun, like I said you're still very young. now I'm not saying go out and have sex with all the guys you can, but just enjoy yourself and the people around you. I'm 23 years young and I have a bf of 2 years and let me tell you him and I both talk about how we've partied enough and got things outta the way that we wanted to do or experience while single and we entered our relationship knowing we were ready to leave all that behind and move on because we reached a more mature age. now I know not everybody has the opportunity to go out and party and have fun or some people aren't just into that, but if you are then just enjoy yourself. that's the best advice I can give you
