Average time frame for twins?

Question

What would be considered an average time frame for twins to be delivered? My doc says 37 if all goes well but I see a lot of women on here go before then. I'm having twins so just trying to prepare myself for earlier delivery.

I am 34 weeks and can't wait. I hope it is sooner then later but I know the longer the better. My friends and family are encouraging me 2 more weeks at least. My last day of work was yesterday. So I have voluntarily put myself on modified bed rest. My mom won't let me drive anymore anyway. Good luck to all of us who have hung on this far. It has definitely been a long journey and time goes by so slow to meet these precious babies.

I had a schedule c-section at 38 weeks exactly this past Thursday. I had them on Monday at 37+4 via c-section due to high bp while at doctors office. Both girls were also breech as well. They weighed 6 pounds and 5 pounds. No nicu time we got to go home on Wednesday.

My doctor said twins normally are born between 34-36 weeks and that she wouldn't let me go past 38. I ended up going into labor at 37 weeks 4days. I had my twins July 27th

Full term with twins is 36 weeks. I had mine at 36 weeks and 6 days, the day before I was supposed to be induced. I had told my OB I wanted to give them until 39 weeks to come but my specialist said that was too long and wanted me enduced at 37 weeks. My twins were perfectly healthy and had no time in the NICU

Around 60% of twins are born pre-term ... At/before 36 weeks I assume. And the rest are likely born at 37 - 39 weeks. (My doctor said they normally don't let twins go past 39 weeks.)

I'm not even far enough along for my doc to give me an actual date and real method of delivery but from talking to him and a whole lot of late night I can't sleep reading lol this is what I have found out: no twin pregnancy is going to be cut and dry this is the averag delivery time but knowing what's going on with them and your body and asking lots of questions will help to give you a pretty good date. First there are 3 types of twins mo/mo Mo/di and di/di once you find out which type you are having that pits you on a good path to figuring out how far you'll make it. Second what kind of health conditions do you have if any pre pregnancy and what kind have you aquired due to the pregnancy? Your health plays another mojor role in when whether you will go in really early or you'll make it pretty close to 40 weeks like I've seen some women have. Third what is your body type? Like height weight and how fit are you has a lot to do with it also because it's going to ultimately go with your health. How active did you stay during your pregnancy did you eat right or were you able to get all the nacassary vitamins and minerals to help your twins grow. 
Ultimately a lot can go right and a lot can go wrong but if you have a good doc that you are being completely honest with in every symptom and how you are treating yourself on a daily basis and who answers your every question then they will give you the best estimate of how early or late you will deliver.
I know this seamed like a big go round and depending on how you take info this might not have helped you but I really hope it shed some light on the issue and brought up plenty of questions to ask your doc concerns you want to address with him or her
