HELLPPP PLEASE 😭

Alright, so recently I switched off the depo shot and on to a non hormonal iud, they said I'd be sporting for possibly up to a year. Well since yesterday I started bleeding super heavy out of nowhere like soaking through pads and tampons within about a 2-3 hour time span. Just at my 4.5 hours of work tonight I somehow bled through 2 pads and a tampon and just got home at 10 and bled through another pad! Do you guys think that this is my body trying to regulate a period in between the spotting ? My spotting was very light some mornings/ nights I wouldn't bleed at all and usually just kept s panty liner on that I changed throughout the day with minimal blood actually on it .. Just need advice because my boyfriend thinks I should be worried but I just think it's my body trying to regulate the loss of all those hormones and from not having a period for over s year . Anything will help please !!
