Dresser or changing table?

What is best? Babys closet is big enough but trying to think down the line and what's best for our money. If I just do dresser do you have to get attachment for the top? I've seen a lot of pics without it so wasn't sure. Thanks ladies!

Dresser with a removable tray for when you're done. It was the perfect solution for me!

We're just using the top of the dresser with a changing pad on top as the changing table. Neither of us are the point in buying a second piece of furniture when one can do the same function. And if you're really worried, you can attach a "fence" around the top boarder of the dresser for more protection.

I got a changing table and will be getting the cube storage as a dresser! We plan on having baby #2 a few years after this one so I got the changing table and crib to match. Our plan is that when our little guy is ready for a twin bed, we will be trying to have baby #2 so his crib/ changing table will be the new babies. (We also plan on taking the pad off the top of the changing table when he doesn't need it anymore and putting a TV on it!

We thought that spending money on a changing table would be a waste so we bought a dresser and we plan to put a changing pad on top. It matches his crib which will one day convert into a full size bed so we save money all around. We just chnaged the knobs on the top two drawers with whales since our them in nautical.

We used a dresser with a pad on top. Their clothes are so tiny it offers plenty of storage for clothes, diapers, wipes, all of it.

If this wasn't the first and we didn't plan on having 4 I would have went with a dresser. Since we want a large family and plan to try again very close to my daughters first birthday we decided to get a changing table (the one I picked is pretty much a dresser with the fence around the top).

So I think if you are only having one for now def do a dresser. If not maybe a changing table since you can use it for future kids and then buy a dresser for the older child when they are older.

I personally love our changing table. I got one at a garage sale and just bought the pad for it. Bought a separate small dresser that have a lamp, sound machine, and a basket of wipes/diapers/diaper rash cream etc. on.  I think all changing pads come with a strap and buckle so you can make sure baby is safe if you have to walk away. Several friends of mine just bought a dresser and put the changing pad on top, which is great too! It is so convenient to have the baby up higher for diaper changes and changing clothes. Not to mention putting lotion on them, and taking care of all those hygiene types of things. Gives you two free hands!

I'll be using a changing mat on the floor for changing diapers - it just feels way safer to me than having the baby up higher. I've seen too many babies try to wriggle away and almost fall off.
