Are baby showers only for the mums/female family members ?

I told my boyfriend he could bring some friends to our baby shower but he's worried it's more of a female thing?? I personally think it is whatever you make it.. Opinions appreciated☺️

Put couple baby shower or coed baby shower on the invitation so people will know spouses are invited. I've always had coed baby showers because I want my husband to be involved also. It's personal preference.

I say coed is great, but make sure your hostesses are on board. In my case they were the ones paying for it.

I had a co-ed shower. My boyfriend had a great time. The invitations were worded as a celebration for the parents-to-be, instead of just mommy-to-be.

We are having a jack and Jill party because my fiancé wanted to be involved and I thought it was important too. A bunch of his friends are coming along with both sides of our family and my friends too!
