Nursery idea--dark gray walls for a boy??

Question

We just found out recently we are having a boy..so bye bye to all the pretty pink and purple nursery ideas I've collected on pintrest..for now anyway :)

I'm not a crazy big fan of pastels and traditional baby blue boy nurseries so I went searching for something a little more unique.

I've fallen in love w the idea of a gray and rainbow boys room. What do you ladies think? Is it too out there and dark?

This is my view: the nursery is for ME. I chose a color scheme (gray and beige) that is calming and soothing to me, because there will be plenty of colorful and interesting toys for the baby to interact with. I will be the one near tears trying desperately to rock a cranky baby back to sleep for the fourth time in the same night; so my nursery is designed to please me! I think all nurseries should fit what you desire. Why not have dark gray walls? 😉

Maybe a bit dark, but grey is really versitile. You can change it up for either gender. Our bedroom is painted in "French grey", which is lighter and has a bluish tint. I love it!

We don't know gender yet but we're having 3 slightly off white walls and one grey feature wall that the cot will be on :)
