Driving me insane
Ok I know that this is going to sound like a selfish rant but....
My sister constantly has the monopoly on my parents time, resources etc. So last January she made me cancel my 30th birthday plans to fly my parents over to Scotland for the weekend (my family live in Belfast) she said it wasn't fair on her as her wedding was two weeks later.
Just before this my partner and I bought our home which my parents weren't able to come and help us out with anything as they couldn't afford to as they were paying her my sisters wedding. When my sister got engaged she asked me to put my plans for a baby on hold which I did as a courtesy to allow her to have her perfect wedding day.
My sister was diagnosed with epilepsy two years ago so my mum looks after her a lot! I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby and my family were so excited! However against medical advice (she has weekly seizures and is on all sorts of meds) my sister called my mum and told her that she's pregnant also, then told my mum not to tell me. She then hung up and called me right away!!! I was devastated!! I cried for ages!
She's now constantly messaging me about her pregnancy and how she is going to get the best care due to her illness and how she's going to need my mum more than ever!
I know that all baby news is happy news but I am struggling to not scream every time she brings it up! I am doing my best to be supportive on the surface but can't help but feel that me and my baby are now going to take a backseat yet again!!
Has anyone been through something similar or got any advice?!
