Is my baby getting enough to eat?

I feel like my baby isnt getting enough to eat. He eats for so long & if he doesn't fall asleep by the end, he still cries when he is finally done. Idk what to do. He acts like he is starving. He is 4 weeks old today. Sometimes he fusses while he is eating. Pulling off, & crying. How do I know if he is actually hungry  or not? I hope he is eating enough..

Sounds like a growth spurt. If he's peeing pooping and growing he's fine

Just focus on diapers. If he had enough wet diapers each day and his poop is a yellow color you are good. He could be nursing for a number of reasons (comfort, growth spurt, hunger).

You can always bring him to the pedi and weigh him before and after feeding to see how much he's getting

I pump occasionally in between feedings & get anywhere from 3-4 oz. It just depends.. But last night I literally fed him until I couldn't anymore bc my nipples hurt, gave him a 4 oz bottle of breast milk & he fed again after that.. I feel like he is SO hungry.

I thought I would add that I don't feel my letdown, so I don't even know if he is getting hindmilk.
