Trying to get pregnant in new relationship

I'm 34 and my boyfriend is 37.  I have 2 children, girls ages 12 and 13.  He has no children.  I just got out of a bad relationship and moved quickly on with my now boyfriend I live with.  Actually..unofficially stayed so consider myself to have moved in.  Anyhow..we have been having unprotected sex since our first time together and boy our sex drives are high.  He wants a child badly..naturally, as he's never been a father.  I love him dearly and see us together and we are talking about some future plans.  We have known each other through work for about a year.  About 3 weeks after moving back to stay with my dad I got his number and we went out.  That night we talked and he confessed to wanting at least one child.  With my last SO I was trying to conceive but it never happened..for the best.  Me and my new boyfriend are mature and mostly settled and really want a family together.  Girls on here be honest..I know you cannot make up my mind but is this normal?  Has anyone else felt that way mutually with a new love and how did it turn out..remember we are both in our thirties as well.  All comments appreciated I'm open to positive and negative outcomes, stories or what have you.  Trying to gain perspective somewhat.  It feels right to me.
