Cloth diapering?

Anyone here use cloth diapers or planning to? I'm a single mom of an 8 month old with another on the way. I'm thinking of switching to cloth to help cut down on costs. More than likely going with the snap diapers, any brands you reccomend?

I am going to! I've looked into bumgenius as they seem good quality for the price. I think my sister used the fuzzibunz brand and had success with those as well.

We use cloth in my daughter. We use disposable when we go out however, or if she has an ear infection the Amoxicillin give her diarrhea so we use disposal then. We love cloth diapers it cuts down on diaper rash, and the are so soft!!!!!! We use pocket diapers and love them!!!

Avla is a brand of cloth diapers pretty cheap but my friends love them about $4 a diaper

I'm planning to but my husband is still a bit wary. I joined a few local cloth diaper groups on Facebook. You can buy used ones(in great condition) for much cheaper.

I plan to get the AIOs(all in one, aka adjustable) with snaps. And then probably some infants size diapers as well.

Ugh. Loved cloth diapering. I did it with my first child. Unfortunately he peed sooooo much the diapers leaked every 15 minutes as you can imagine how painful it was to wash so much. Plus pee was everywhere. None of his clothes fit him due to how many inserts I had to put in the diapers (hemp and charcoal bamboo) still didn't work. So we stopped cloth diapering after a year. It saved soooo much money and not to mention they were so cute. I would love to do it again with my next one but hubby said absolutely no. Lol. It has it's ups and downs.

Bumgenious are really good and they adjust as the baby grows so you don't have to keep buying different sizes. It'll definitely save $$

I live in Australia and want to do cloth nappies, however my mum tried to turn me off the idea saying how hard it is and good luck. Can anyone list the pros and cons?

I'm a nanny currently that uses cloth diapers with the baby I watch. I have mixed feelings on cloth, they indeed Are super cost affective, eco friendly and much better for the babies bums. However, they can be a pain to stay on top of cleaning and keeping them from rotting along with your washing machine. The worst is when your out for the day and the baby has an explosion, you now have to tote that poopy diaper around all day long. Like I said very mix feelings of what I will do for my own.
