Raising bilingual baby?

Question

Has anyone raised or have ideas about raising a bilingual child? My SO's family is Bosnian, and I want to keep their culture alive. I also hear it good for their neural development. 
However, I don't want to confuse her. Do they inherently know which is which? Can anyone recommend any methods, books, or other material?

I am teaching my son Spanish (father is Peruvian) French (I speak French) and English. I only speak to him in French and my SO only speaks to him in Spanish. Every morning we listen to educational music in French or Spanish and we listen to French and Spanish news. Don't worry about confusing her because she'll get English everywhere but home and she'll be able to pick it up quickly babies are sponges. My cousins speak Spanish French and English and at 3 years old are already fluent in those languages. It's the best thing you can do for your baby.

Best is: speak in YOUR mother language to your children. Father speaks only Bosnian mother speaks only English. So your child has 'mothers language' and 'fathers language'. It may happen that your child mixes up the languages in the beginning or answer in the other language - that doesn't matter. Main thing is: stick to your own language continuosly.  F.E. Father plays with his son 'train' - hel'll play 'train game' always in Bosnian. Children will not confuse - sometimes in the beginning all is one - but later they get it easily which is which.

Kids are smart. Make them read translated books, music with both languages, watch tv show in this specific language, speak permanently in the non dominant language depending on where you live.  For example:  husband is American and I'm French and we live in the USA where English is dominant so if we have kids one day and still live here, I will make sure to speak permanently with them in French at home and they will learn English from their father and at school

I'm American and my husband is German, we live in Germany. We speak only English at home but my j laws speak only German with them. We were told by our pediatrician and their nursery school teachers that what we were doing was perfect. Basically, the learn English as their mother language and hear German from family and others in public. My kids all started speaking full sentences around two years old. At nursery school, they are only spoken to in German and within a few months, they learn very good German. It only takes a few days for them to pick up on simple words and phrases. 
I have a British grind here and her husband is German. She speaks English to her son and her hubby speaks German. Their son gets confused and will answer in another language than he was spoken to in. He didn't start speaking any words at all until two years old and he was three before he started making sentences.

I'm Russian and my husband is American. We're teaching my daughters both. My parents help out about 2-3x a week and only speak Russian. I speak both and my husband just speaks Enhlish. My 2.5 year old will typically answer in whatever language you talk to her in. She understands both, but prefers to talk in English (which what she hears most of). I'm in the process of trying to teach her that objects have two words, one in English one in Russian, and which family member speak each language. Kids are really smart and will pick up quick as long as there is consistency. Good luck 😀

My kids grew up learning English and Afrikaans at the same time in South Africa it a very normal thing to raise your kids to be bilingual. I grew up that way so did hubby. I don't really know any other way of raising a kid to be honest. 
My sister married a Greek and their kids are learning three languages at the same time. They understand Afrikaans and Greek well but they only speak English at the moment considering her oldest is only 7 that's quite an achievement.

My SiL has two children. She is Armenian and the father is French, so they are trilingual. They take a lot longer (based on research and on this situation) to talk fully and they will stick to saying some words one language and another in another, but if you stick with it it will work out :) hopefully one day I will be able to give my husband a baby and he can teach them Armenian :)
