How does breastfeeding along with pumping work?

I'm new to this and have no idea!!!!!! Okay so he's 5 days old. Not sure if I'll start pumping yet or not. I'm thinking I should though! But once I go back to work how long and how often should I pump? (It's a double pump) Can I pump while I feed him? Do I have to pump at night? I need details lol I really don't have a clue

I started pumping after every feeding when my LO was a few weeks old. It drained my breast completely and encouraged them to produce more. I saved and froze everything. He gets 1 bottle a day and I have a great supply set up for when he goes to day care in September.

Don't pump now, a baby empties breast better then a pump. Right now baby is building up your supply. How long untill u start back work? When the time comes pump in the morning. You can pump both at the same time , or even just one. If you have Pinterest look up pumping.
